Somehow I did it. I was aiming for 50,000 words and I hit that target. Then I was aiming to finish all of the short stories and I did that too. I ended on 65,091 words, with the second-last day seeing The Prince of Time just somehow fall into place in my head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’m more than a little bit exhausted after this month, and I definitely now need to refocus on getting Passable Media back up and running, but after that’s done I’m going to get to editing. I’m thrilled with the final piece, but even on the briefest of reads I can see it’s riddled with issues: I don’t use nearly enough dialogue, with some stories being almost completely absent of it, and I use the words “instantly” and “moments later” far more often than is okay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
